Foster Care and Racism Roundup
This is not a real substantive post, but I'd just like to point out several really, really good posts and discussions on the subject from foster/adoptive parents:

I have a lot to say about race, as readers have probably noticed! But on the subject of race, racism and the foster care system... well, I don't have a placement or substantial, direct involvement in the system yet, so I like to mostly keep quiet and see what I can learn. What I do know comes from news stories (mostly horror stories), stories from other parents in my class, stories from other parents on the internet, a few academic studies. I'm now involved in the same basic system as everyone else, but my perspective (Asian parent communicating with black social workers) is so "upside-down" I'm not entirely sure how to integrate it into other discussions. I'm still feeling it out.
